Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what information HaulNet (“HaulNet”, “we”) collects when you use the HaulNet web dashboard, the HaulNet Driver mobile app and connected in-vehicle devices (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who is responsible for the data
HaulNet is used by transport companies (“Customers”) to manage their own fleets. For the data a Customer puts into the Service about its trucks, loads and drivers, the Customer is the controller and HaulNet processes that data on the Customer’s behalf and on its instructions. HaulNet is the controller for account, billing and website data described below. Drivers who have questions about how their employer uses their data should contact their employer first.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, company name, role, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and, if you choose “Continue with Google”, your Google account ID, name, email and profile picture.
- Fleet data entered by Customers: trucks (plate, model, VIN, insurance and registration dates), drivers (name, phone, licence number), loads (pickup/delivery addresses, cargo, customer contact details, rates), geofences and settings.
- Driver app data: precise GPS location while a driver is signed in and on duty or on a trip, speed and heading, duty status and hours, trip status changes, inspection results, fuel and expense records, receipts, documents and photos the driver uploads, proof-of-delivery photos, receiver name and signature, chat messages, SOS alerts with location, device push-notification tokens and battery level.
- In-vehicle device data: location, speed and fuel telemetry; AI dashcam events (for example drowsiness, phone use, harsh braking) with snapshot images; and, where the Customer enables it, live video streams.
- Payment data: plan, amount, invoice number and payment status. Card and wallet details are entered directly with our payment processor Safepay and are never stored by HaulNet.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and server logs used for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: show vehicles on the map, route loads, deliver alerts, messages and notifications, and produce reports.
- To keep the Service secure: authenticate users, prevent abuse and investigate incidents.
- To bill Customers and send receipts, password resets and important service notices.
- To improve reliability and fix bugs. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Our legal bases are performance of our contract with the Customer, the Customer’s legitimate interest in managing its fleet and the safety of its drivers and cargo, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it (for example, device location permission on the driver’s phone, which can be withdrawn in the phone’s settings).
4. Location and camera data
The driver app collects location only after the driver grants permission, and is designed to track location while the driver is signed in and working. Customers are responsible for informing their drivers about tracking and dashcam monitoring and for having a lawful basis to do so under the employment and privacy laws that apply to them.
5. Who we share information with
- Within the Customer’s company: admins and dispatchers of the same company can see that company’s fleet data. Data is strictly separated between companies.
- Service providers that host or operate parts of the Service for us under confidentiality obligations: cloud hosting and database providers, Google (sign-in and Firebase Cloud Messaging push notifications), Safepay (payments), email delivery providers and map tile providers.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect someone’s safety.
- A successor, if HaulNet is merged or acquired, subject to this policy.
6. Retention
We keep Customer data for as long as the Customer’s account is active. When an admin deletes the company account in Settings → Data & privacy, its fleet, driver and user records are deleted from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. We keep paid invoice records as long as tax and accounting law requires.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, access is role-based, each company’s data is isolated, and uploaded files are served only through signed or authenticated links. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update your profile in Settings, or ask your company admin to correct records about you.
- Company admins can download a full copy of their company’s data (Settings → Data & privacy → Export) and delete the account.
- Drivers can turn off location permission on their phone and sign out of the app at any time.
- You may ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data at support@savvystyles.cloud. Where we process data for a Customer, we will pass your request to that Customer.
9. International transfers
Our hosting and service providers may store or process data outside your country. We use reputable providers with appropriate safeguards.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We will post updates on this page and, for material changes, notify account admins by email or in the dashboard.
